# About Bar Helper

Bar Helper was founded in 2020 by Vidar Markussen, a homebrewer and developer needing an online solution for keeping track of homebrew.

It gradually became difficult to keep track of all brews, some where made for storage, some were fresh, some in bottles and something in kegs.

When you have beer on tap, and have no automatic solution to keep track of how much is left, the solution is to lift on the keg, which means that sediment is swirled up, this is not an ideal solution. Is is also possible to use paper or excel sheets to keep track of each pour, but this seemed unnecessarily cumbersome. The result was a web solution or a web app where you could keep track of how much is left in your keg in a simple and clear way.

To have a complete solution, manual registration is not enough we needed to also support automatic solutions. Therefore, support was made for both Plaato Keg and Kegtron.

After registering a lot of beers, it soon became clear that we had to create a system for retrieving this information from 3rd party solutions, thus we integrated both Brewfather and Untappd.

# Getting started

Here's a quick guide to getting started. We go through the setup of the profile, as well as the setup of kegs, taps, and beer.

Inventory / Beverage is the beverage itself (the beer), here you register both beer in casks and beer in bottles / cans. The dish itself is registered under Kegs. Kegs (barrels), if you operate as a home brewer, it may be that you have beer on tap, and not just bottles and cans. When you register barrels, this is the physical barrel itself, typically you give all your barrels a name, for example "Fat 1", "Fat 2" ,,, etc. Taps (tapping towers) are pretty much related to barrels (kegs). If you have a barrel, it is also very likely that you have a tap tower, whether this is a large elaborate keezer, or whether it is a picnic crane is not important. OnTap-TV is a TV screen to show what you have on the tap towers and how much is left in the barrels connected to the tap tower. Here you can have many choices on what this screen should look like. Settings contains settings for external integrations (Untappd, Brewfather, Plaato, Kegtron) as well as serving sizes (the size of your glasses). In addition, this is where you set up an avatar for the bar.

# Inventory

Inventory is the core of Bar Helper. This is where all beverages are registered. It doesn't help to have a lot of kegs, tap towers, gadgets, and various items if we don't have any beverages.

To add a new beer or another beverage, we go through the menu item Inventory -> Beer.

1. Press the main menu item "**Inventory**."
2. Press "**Beer**"

1. If you are adding an entirely new beer, type the name in the "**Name**" field and press "**NEXT**."
2. If the beer is on **Untappd**, press the yellow Untappd icon. If you don't see the icon and want to integrate Untappd, go to Settings -> [Untapd](/english/settings/untappd).
3. If the beer is in Brewfather, press the dark Brewfather icon. If you don't see the icon and have a Brewfather account, you can integrate Brewfather via Settings -> [Brewfather](/english/settings/brewfather).

#### Brewfather

1. To fetch beer from Brewfather, press the "[**Brewfather**](/english/settings/brewfather)**"** icon.
2. Choose the status you want to retrieve from Brewfather.
3. Once the list is fully populated, you can search for the specific beer you are looking for.
4. Select the beer you want to add to Bar Helper by clicking on its name.

Untappd

1. To fetch beer from Untappd, press the icon for [Untappd](/english/settings/untappd).
2. Enter part of the name for both the brewery and the beer you are looking for. A little trick: if you only enter the brewery and a space in the Beer field, it will fetch all the beers from that brewery.
3. Press SEARCH to bring up a list of beers that match the search criteria. If the beer doesn't appear, you may need to be more specific in your search.
4. Press the beer you want to add to Bar Helper by clicking on its name.

#### Details

1. The name of the beer.
2. A description of the beer.
3. The beer style.
4. SRM: The color of the beer.
5. ABV: The alcohol percentage.
6. IBU: The bitterness.
7. Label: The label.
8. Location: This is being replaced in favor of 'Locations' on the container (keg, cans, bottles) for the beer.
9. Dates: This is being phased out in favor of dates on the container (keg, cans, bottles).
10. Kegs: If you have the beer on tap, the kegs are entered here.
11. Bottles: If you have the beer in bottles, they are entered here.
12. Cans: If you have the beer in cans, they are entered here.

#### Kegs

1. To add a keg, press "**Add Keg**" (If you haven't registered any kegs, you can [do it here](/english/kegs))
2. Press the keg you want to add the beer to.

# Storage Locations

This is the location of the beverages, for example, in a refrigerator or keezer.

1. Press "Inventory".
2. Press "Storage Locations".

1. Press the black (+) icon in the bottom right corner to add a new location.

1. Enter a name for the location, for example, "Refrigerator, Brewing Room".&#x20;
2. Press "Next" to proceed.

# Taps

"Taps" refers to tap towers. This could be either a fancy keezer, a tap tower in a bar, or a simple picnic tap.

1. Press "Taps."&#x20;
2. Press the black (+) icon at the bottom right to add a new tap.&#x20;
3. If there is a beer on the tap tower, the name will appear here.&#x20;
4. If you have a keg connected to the tap tower, the name will be displayed.&#x20;
5. If you have a keg monitor to automatically keep track of the remaining beer in the keg, the name will appear here.&#x20;
6. You can see the type of keg here, and you will also see how much is left in the keg in terms of color inside the keg.

2. Press "Next" to proceed to the editing page.

1. Keg: To add a keg, press the green (+).&#x20;
2. Once pressed, a list of all available kegs will appear. In the keg list, you can also see which tap it is connected to, which beer is on the keg, and whether a keg monitor is connected to that tap.

1. To add a keg monitor, press one of the buttons for Plaato Keg, Kegtron, or Custom Keg Monitor.

3. If a monitor is already connected to a tap, its name will be shown to the right.

1. If you want to delete the keg connected to the tap, press the trash can next to the keg's name. As you can see, the beer name is also displayed next to the keg name.&#x20;
2. If something has been tapped from the tap, the recent taps are shown in the list here.&#x20;
3. If you want to delete the tap, press the trash can in the upper right corner.

1. If you press the keg name here (Keg 1), you get the opportunity to edit the keg.&#x20;
2. Here, you choose the type of keg you have.
3. **Size**: The size of the keg in volume.
4. **Amount left**: How much is left in the keg.
5. **Beverage**: The drink on the keg.
6. **Location**: The location of the keg (see [Storage Locations](/english/inventory/storage-locations)).
7. **Kegging Date**: Production date.
8. **Best Before Date**: Last consumption date.
9. **Notification Date**: Date for a [notification](/english/notifications).
10. **Condition Date**: Date for when the drink is ready to consume.

# Kegs

Kegs are a natural progression for homebrewers who have taken their craft a step further. It's when you start using kegs that you may find it challenging to keep track of the exact amount of beer you.

1. Click on 'Kegs' in the menu.
2. To add a keg, click on the (+) icon in the bottom right corner.
3. "In the overview, you can see the type of keg you have and the remaining amount of beverage in each keg.
4. The beverage inside the keg.
5. The [location](/english/inventory/storage-locations) of the keg.&#x20;
6. The tap tower to which the keg is connected.&#x20;
7. The type of monitor linked to the keg.

#### Add a keg

To add a keg, press the black (+) icon at the bottom right on the list page (refer to point 2 above).

1. Enter the name of the keg.
2. Press 'Next' to go to the editing page.

#### Edit keg

1. **Name**: The name of the keg. This is the physical keg you have. It's wise to give your kegs names and label them accordingly. This way, you can keep track of which ones are cleaned and which ones are filled with beer.
2. **Type**: Choose the image that best represents the type of keg.
3. **Size**: The capacity of the keg, indicating the total volume in liters/gallons. Specify the unit you prefer in  [Units](/english/settings/units).
4. **Amount left in keg**: The remaining amount of beverage in the keg. This is used to calculate when the keg will be empty. If you connect a Keg Monitor to the keg, this field is automatically filled out.
5. **Beverage**: This is where you select the drink currently in the keg. Essentially, you link a beverage from the Inventory to this keg. You can see what is currently in the keg here and choose to remove it by clicking on the trash can icon.
6. **Location**: Describes where this keg is located. You can add or modify this under [Storage Locations](/english/inventory/storage-locations).
7. **Kegging Date**: The production date of the beverage.
8. **Best Before Date**: Expiry date.
9. **Notification Date**: The ideal date for when this beverage is at its best. It can also be used, for example, to prepare for a special occasion. In that case, it will appear under Notifications.
10. **Latest Cleaning:** If you have activated Washing Routines in [Settings](/english/settings).
11. **Conditioning End Date**: If you have a beverage for conditioning, you enter it here. This keg will not be available for selection until this date.

#### Add beverage

1. When you press the green (+), a list of available beverages from [Inventory](/english/inventory) will appear.
2. Select the beverage that you have filled the keg with.

#### Edit beverage

1. When you have already selected a beverage, you can press on it to bring up an editing window for that specific beverage.
2. Here, you can edit all the available information for the specific beverage.

# On-Tap Tv

On-Tap TV is the big screen solution in Bar Helper. It allows you to display what's on tap, for example, on a TV or a tablet.

1. Select On-Tap TV from the menu on the left. You can add a new TV by pressing the black (+) at the bottom right corner.&#x20;
2. The list of TVs already created can be found here. You can access them by pressing the name.

#### Main

1. Visible: Select this switch to toggle showing or hiding the title.&#x20;
2. Name: The title of the TV.&#x20;
3. Font: The font in which the title should be displayed.&#x20;
4. Size: The size of the title.&#x20;
5. Color: The color of the text in the title.&#x20;
6. Scrolling speed: How long the screen should stay before transitioning to the next page. You can create multiple pages at the bottom of this window under the [Pages](#pages) setting.

#### Graphics

7. **Visible**: Select this switch to toggle the display of the logo on or off.
8. **Logo**: Here you upload the logo; after it's uploaded, you can press the red trash can to delete it again.
9. **Size**: The size of the logo.
10. **Background Image**: Here you upload the image you want to use as the background image on the screen. You can press the trash can to delete the background image.
11. **Opacity**: How transparent the card is. That is, how much of the background you see through the card.
12. **Color**: The background color of the card.

#### Template

1. **Global templates**: Here you can choose a predefined template, which are templates provided by Bar Helper, and an easy way to get started.&#x20;
2. **User templates**: Here you can select one of your predefined templates.
3. **Update template**: Here you save all the information in the TV, you can update or create new templates.

#### Beverage

1. Different beer-related information that can be displayed on the card.
2. **Keg Size**: Adjust the size of the keg displayed on the card.
3. **Keg Volume**: Display how much drink is left in the keg.
4. **Tap #, Tap Name**: Whether to display this information on the card.

#### Fonts

1. **Sizes**: Here you adjust the size of all the fonts in the entire TV solution.
2. **Colors**: Here you choose all the colors of the fonts in the entire TV solution.
3. **Family**: Here you select which font to use for the various displays.

#### Pages

The pages are the core of the TV solution. Here you select which taps/kegs to include in the display. If you create multiple pages, these will be switched based on the intervals set in [Main](#main).

1. The kegs themselves are added by pressing **Add Page +**

1. Page Title: Enter the title of the page.
2. Columns (horizontal): Number of columns in the display, the number of rows will be adjusted based on the number of taps.
3. Taps: Here you select which taps/kegs to use on this page.
4. Reorder Taps: Here you drag a tap to another position to change the order.

# Notifications

Notifications is a solution where you have an overview of notifications from checked-out beverages or alarms on beverages.

1. Press Notifications in the right menu.
2. **Display new**: Here comes the list of all new notifications.
3. **Display all**: Here is the list of all read and new notifications.
4. **Settings**: To maintain notifications and set which types of notifications are active, choose settings.

1. Menu item for notification.
2. Number of unread notification.
3. Beverage label.
4. Date of the notification.
5. Name of the beverage.
6. An icon of a clock represents an alarm.
7. When an icon is red, it is unread.
8. An icon of a tap represents a beverage checkout.

The bottom menu appears on both the detail page and the list page.

1. Display new: Here comes the list of all new notifications.
2. Display all: Here is the list of all read and new notifications.
3. Settings: To maintain messages and set which type of messages are active, choose settings.
4. Date of the message.
5. Beverage label.
6. Button to check out more of the same beverage.
7. Button to go directly to the beverage.
8. [Location](/english/inventory/storage-locations) of the beverage.
9. Amount left of the beverage in the keg.
10. Name of the beverage.
11. Icon for alarms.
12. Notifications: This type of notification is an Alarm.

Another notification type is beverage checkout.

1. When the notification is a beverage checkout, it is displayed as a tap.
2. Tapping: This means that a beverage has been checked out.

#### Settings

1. Press the menu at the bottom right to access settings.
2. To enable/disable beverage checkouts.
3. To enable/disable alarms on beverages.
4. Button to mark all messages as read. Useful if you have a lot of unread notifications.
5. Button to delete all read beverage checkout notifications.
6. Button to delete ALL beverage checkout notifications.

# Settings

1. **Bar settings**: Settings for the bar, this contains name, logo, statistics, percentage vs liters, washing routines&#x20;
2. **About**: Information about owners, systems used, contact information and link to GDPR.&#x20;
3. Serving sizes: Glass sizes when tapping from barrels. By setting these, you can control how large units you tap from the barrel each time.&#x20;
4. **Plaato**: Here you will find how to set up Plaato Keg. A system for registering the innoold in your barrels automatically.&#x20;
5. [**Kegtron**](/english/settings/kegtron): A system for recording how much beer is tapped from the barrel via a flow meter.&#x20;
6. **Untappd**: By using an Untappd account, you can retrieve information about different beers to use in Inventory. Makes it easier to register beer.&#x20;
7. **Brewfather**: If you use Brewfather as a brewing program, you can download your batches here.

# Units

This is for selecting between metric and imperial unit types. However, you can also choose details within each type. For example, selecting deciliters instead of liters, or gallons instead of ounces.

1. Set Imperial: To set default values to Imperial unit type.
2. Set Metric: To set default values to Metric unit type.
3. Kegs: To set the unit for kegs.
4. Pour: To set the unit type for pouring.
5. Servings: To set the unit type for servings when checking out from a keg.
6. Bottles: Unit type for bottles.
7. Cans: Unit type for cans.
8. Plaato: Unit type for [Plaato](/english/settings/plaato). This must be the same as set in the Plaato app.

# Plaato

Plaato Keg is a system for registering how much beer you have left in your kegs. It uses weight to register, so when you pour beer, the keg becomes lighter, allowing you to calculate how much beer remains in the keg.&#x20;

Press the + button to add a new Plaato Keg.

1. Name: Give your Plaato Keg a name.

After pressing NEXT, press the button START SETUP&#x20;

In the next part, enter your SSID and password but DO NOT press Connect just yet.

First we need to set the plaato into setup mode this is done by using the reset key on the bottom of the plaato in the reset slot. How to do this, look at the video on the bottom of the guide.  (Or follow Step 1 and Step 2)

Now you need to go to your wifi settings on your phone or computer, and select the wifi network called PLAATO\_#### where the hashes are a number.&#x20;

After you are connected to the PLAATO\_#### network and you have filled in your SSID (network-name) and your password, you can press CONNECT.

Now a new page will occur, saying it has successfullly saved the results. Now you can wait for the plaato to reset, and your network to go back to your ordinary wifi network. And then is should be ready to collect information from your keg.

To force a sync, simply press hard down on your Plaato and release immedately, then it should register a "force-synk" and this should be displayed on the newly created Plaato item in Bar Helper.<br>


# Custom Keg Monitor

Custom Keg Monitor is a system for keeping track of your keg content. The way this works is by registering the amount that has been tapped, and the system will automatically save this in Bar Helper.

To add a Custom Keg Monitor:

1\) Click on Settings\
2\) Click on ➕

First enter a name for the monitor. This is the name displayed inside Bar Helper. The Id Number is the one used inside the API call\

Custom Keg monitor works via a REST Api call. That is, we send information to Bar Helper via HTTPS POST, so the system that will send information to Bar Helper must support this.

The first thing we need to do is generate an API key. This should be used when we call Bar Helper. \

Once you have copied the API key, keep it in a safe place. It will not be possible to see this key several again, if you lose it, you will have to delete it and generate a new one. \

When we run the REST call, a monitor with the name you have chosen in the call will be created automatically. \

# Kegtron

Kegtron is a flowmeter for home brewers. The system is based on registering how much beer flows through the tap line. And in that way registers how much beer is left in the keg. Kegtron is based on Bluetooth technology, and requires you to have an Android phone/tablet or Raspberry Pi with bluetooth to register data. # Raspberry Pi

The Raspberry Pi can be used to collect data from Kegtron and send it to Bar Helper. Here we will go through how this is set up.

1. Download Image for Raspberry Pi here.
2. &#x20;Burn this in the usual way, for example by the use of balenaEtcher, this can be downloaded [here](https://www.balena.io/etcher/).&#x20;
3. You must have a memory card that is at least 16GB in size.&#x20;
4. Connect the mouse, keyboard and monitor to the Raspberry Pi and launch it.&#x20;
5. Once it has booted up, you need to connect the WiFi. To do this, tap the WiFi icon at the top right corner of the screen and connect the Raspberry Pi to your WiFi network.&#x20;
6. Tap the internet icon at the top left of the Raspberry Pi desktop. It's a picture of a globe.&#x20;
7. The page that now starts has two tabs.  Kegtron App in the first Tab and Bar Helper in the other. Go to tab number two and log in to Bar Helper.&#x20;
8. Go to **Settings -> Bar** settings and press GENERATE API KEY&#x20;
9. Copy the key and go to the first  tab in the browser.&#x20;
10. Paste the key you copied on the previous page into the Api text box.&#x20;
11. Press the Start button. You will now see that the Kegtrons appear in the list below.&#x20;
12. Return to the Bar Helper Tab and select **Settings -> Kegtron**&#x20;
13. Now the Kegtrons will appear here. And you are ready to start using Bar Helper with Kegtron.


# Brewfather

Brewfather is a beer brewing system. Here, you'll find all the tools for your brewing process, along with an archive of the batches you've created. You can find the link to [Brewfather here](https://brewfather.app). By integrating Brewfather with Bar Helper, you'll have the ability to look up batches you've brewed and easily register them in Bar Helper with a simple keystroke.

1. Press "Settings"

# Untappd


# Om Bar Helper

Bar Helper ble grunnlagt i 2020 av Vidar Markussen, en hjemmebrygger og utvikler som så et behov for en online løsning hvor en holder orden på eget og kjøpt brygg.

Det ble etterhvert vanskelig å holde oversikten over alt brygg, noe skulle lagres, noe var ferskvare, noe på flasker noe på fat.&#x20;

Når en har øl på fat, og ikke har noen automatisk løsning for å holde oversikt over hvor mye som er igjen i fatet, blir løsningen at en må løfte på fatet, noe som gjør at bunnfall blir hvirvlet opp, noe som ikke er en ideell løsning. Bruken av papir, eller excel ark virket unødvendig tungvint. Resultatet ble en webløsning og webapp hvor en kan holde oversikt over hvor mye man har tatt av fatene på en enkel og oversiktlig måte.

For å ha en komplett løsning så kan en ikke bare støtte manuell registrering, men også automatiske løsninger. Derfor ble det laget støtte for både Plaato Keg og Kegtron.

Etter å ha registrert endel øl, ble det fort klart at vi måtte lage et system for å hente øl fra 3. parts løsninger, dermed integrerte vi både Brewfather og Untappd.

# Kom i gang

Her er en kjapp guide for å komme i gang. Vi går igjennom oppsett av profilen, samt oppsett av fat, tappetårn, og øl.

* **Inventory/Beverage** er selve drikkevaren (ølet), her registrerer du både øl på fat og øl på flasker/bokser. Selve fatet registreres under *Kegs.*
* **Kegs** (fat), hvis du driver som hjemmebrygger kan det være at du har øl på fat, og ikke bare flasker og bokser. Når man registrerer fat, så er dette selve fysiske fatet, typisk så gir man alle fatene sine et navn, for eksempel *"Fat 1", "Fat 2",,, etc.*
* **Taps** (tappetårn) henger ganske mye sammen med fat (kegs). Har man fat er det også stor sannsynlighet for at man har et tappetårn, om dette er en stor forseggjort keezer, eller om det er en piknik kran er ikke viktig.
* **OnTap-TV** er en tv skjem for å vise hva man har på tappetårnene og hvor mye som er igjen i fatene koplet til tappetårnet. Her kan man mange valgmuligheter på hvordan denne skjermen skal se ut.
* **Settings** (innstillinger) inneholder oppsett for eksterne integrasjoner (Untappd, Brewfather, Plaato, Kegtron) samt serveringsstørrelser (størrelsen på glassene dine). I tillegg er det her man setter opp avatar for baren.


# Inventory

Inventory er selve nerven i Bar Helper. Det er her alle drikkevarene er registrert. Det hjelper ikke å ha masse fat, tappetårn, gadget og diverse, hvis vi ikke har noen drikkevarer.

For å legge til en ny øl eller annen drikke går vi via menyelementet Inventory -> Beer.

3. Hvis ølen finnes i Brewfather, trykker du på det mørke ikonet for Brewfather. Hvis du ikke ser ikonet, og har en Brewfather konto, så kan du integrere Brewfather via Innstillinger -> [Brewfather](/settings/brewfather).

#### Brewfather

1. For å hente øl fra Brewfather, så trykker du på ikonet for "[**Brewfather**](/settings/brewfather)".
2. Velg hvilken status du skal hente fra Brewfather.
3. Når listen er ferdig populert, kan du søke etter det øllet du er ute etter.
4. Velg det øllet du vil ha inn i Bar Helper ved å trykke på navnet.

Untappd

1. For å hente øl fra Untappd, trykk på ikonet for Untappd.
2. Skriv inn noe av navnet til både bryggeriet og ølen du skal finne. Et lite triks, hvis du kun skriver inn bryggeriet, og en mellomrom i feltet for Beer, så henter den  ølene til bryggeriet.
3. Trykk på SEARCH for å få opp en liste over øl som passer til søkekriteriet, hvis ølen ikke dukker opp kan det være du må være mer detaljert i søket.
4. Trykk på det ølet du vil ha inn i Bar Helper ved å trykke på navnet.

1. Navnet på ølet.
2. En beskrivelse av ølet.
3. Ølstilen.
4. SRM: Fargen på ølet.

8. Location: Denne utgår til fordel for Locations på beholderen (fat, bokser, flasker) til ølet.
9. Dates: Denne utgår, til fordel for datoer på beholderen (fat, bokser, flasker).
10. Kegs: Hvis du har ølet på fat, så legges fatene inn her.
11. Bottles: Hvis du har ølet på flasker så legges dem inn her.
12. Cans: Hvis du har ølet på bokser, så legges dem inn her.

Taps er tappetårn. Dette kan være enten en fancy keezer, et tapptetårn i en bar, eller en enkel piknik kran.

6. Typen fat ser du her, du vil også se hvor mye som er igjen på fatet i form av fargen inne i fatet.

# Kegs

Fat er en naturlig del for hjemmebryggere som har tatt steget litt lengre. Og det er når en får fat at en begynner å miste kontrollen på hvor mye øl man har igjen.

1. Trykk på Kegs i menyen.
2. For å legge til et fat, trykk på **+** nederst i høyre hjørne.
3. I oversikten vises typen fat du har og gjenværende mengde drikke i hvert fat.
4. Drikken som er i fatet.
5. [Lokasjonen](/inventory/storage-locations) for fatet.
6. Tappetårnet som fatet er koplet til.
7. Hvilken type monitor som er koplet til fatet.

### Legg til fat

For å legge til fat, trykker du på den sorte (+) nede til høyre på listesiden (se punkt 2 over)

1. Skriv inn navnet på fatet.
2. Trykk på "Next" for å gå inn på redigeringssiden.

### Rediger fat

1. **Name**: Navnet på fatet. Dette er det fysiske fatet du har. Det er da smart å navngi fatene, for så å skrive det på dem. Da har man mulighet til å holde orden på hvilke som er vasket og hvilke som er fulle av øl.
2. Type fat, velg det bildet som best beskriver fatet.
3. **Size**: Størrelsen på fatet, hvor mange liter/gallon det er plass til totalt. Hvilken enhet du velger å bruke setter du i "U[nits](/settings/units)".
4. **Amount left in keg**: Hvor mye drikke som er igjen i fatet. Dette brukes til å beregne når fatet er tomt. Hvis en knytter Keg Monitor til fatet så blir dette feltet automatisk fylt ut.
5. **Beverage**: Her finner du drikken som er på fatet. Det vil si, man knytter en drikke fra [Inventory](/inventory) til dette fatet. Du ser her hva som er på fatet, og kan velge å fjerne det ved å trykke på søppelkasse ikonet.
6. **Location:** Beskriver hvor dette fatet befinner seg. Man kan legge til eller endre dette under [Storage Locations](/inventory/storage-locations).
7. **Kegging Date:** Produksjonsdatoen for drikken.
8. **Best Before Date**: Siste forbruksdag.

1. Når man trykker på den grønne (+) får man opp en liste over tilgjengelige drikkevarer fra [Inventory](/inventory).

# On-tap TV

On-Tap TV er storskjerm løsningen i Bar Helper. Den gir muligheten til å vise hva som er på tappetårnene for eksempel på en TV eller et nettbrett.

1. Velg On-Tap TV i menyen til venstre.
2. Du kan legge til en ny TV ved å trykke på den sorte (+) nede i høyre hjørne.
3. Listen over TVer som allerede er laget finner du her. Du kan gå inn på dem med å trykke på navnet.

#### Main

1. **Visible**: Velg denne bryteren for å skru vise eller skjule tittelen.
2. **Name**: Tittelen til TVen.
3. **Font**: Fonten som tittelen skal vises i.
4. **Size**: Størrelsen på tittelen.
5. **Color**: Fargen på teksten i tittelen.
6. **Scrolling speed**: Hvor lenge skjermen skal stå før den går over til neste side. Du kan lage flere sider i bunnen av dette vinduet under innstillingen [Pages](#pages).

#### Graphics

7. **Visible**: Velg denne bryteren for å skru av eller på visning av logoen.
8. **Logo**: Her laster du opp logoen, etter at den er lastet opp, kan du trykke på den røde søppelkassen for å slette den igjen.
9. **Size**: Størrelsen på logoen.
10. **Background Image**: Her laster du opp bildet du vil bruke som bakgrunnsbilde på skjermen. Du kan trykke på søppelkassen for å slette bakgrunnsbildet.
11. **Opacity**: Hvor gjennomsiktig kortet er. Det vil si hvor mye av bakgrunnen du ser igjennom kortet.
12. **Color**: Bakgrunnsfargen på kortet.

1. **Global templates**: Her kan du velge en forhåndsdefinert mal, dette er maler som er levert av Bar Helper, og en grei måte  for å komme i gang.

Notifications er en løsning hvor du har en oversikt over meldinger fra drikkevarer sjekket ut, eller alarmer på drikkevarer.

3. **Display all**: Her er listen over alle leste og nye meldinger.
4. **Settings**: For å drive vedlikehold på meldinger, samt sette hvike type meldinger som er aktive velger du settings.

# Settings

1. Trykk på Settings i høyremenyen.
2. **Bar settings**: Innstillinger for baren, denne inneholder navn, logo, statistikker, prosent vs liter, vaskerutiner
3. **About**: Informasjon om eiere, systemer brukt, kontaktinformasjon samt link til GDPR.
4. **Units**: Valg av enhetstyper, for eksempel liter vs gallons, dette kan settes på fat, glass etc.
5. **Serving sizes**: Glass størrelser når en tapper fra fat. Ved å sette disse kan en selv styre hvor store enheter en tapper fra fatet hver gang.
6. **Plaato**: Her finner du hvordan du setter opp Plaato Keg. Et system for å registrere innooldet i fatene dine automatisk.
7. **Kegtron**: Et system for å registttere hvor mye øl som tappes fra fatet via et flow-meter.
8. **Custom Keg Monitor**: Her kan du lage en egendefinert keg monitor som oppdateres via et eget API.
9. **Untappd**: Ved å bruke en Untappd konto kan du hente ut informasjon om forskjellige øl til å bruke i Inventory. Gjør det enklere å registere øl.
10. **Brewfather**: Hvis du bruker Brewfather som bryggeprogram, så kan du hente ut batchene dine her.

1. **Name**: Navnet på baren din. Her skriver du inn hva baren heter. Dette navnet fremkommer under Account, og i On-Tap TV.
2. **Logo / Avatar**: Bildet av baren din. Dette dukker også opp under Account. Brukes hvis du er hjemmebrygger og har egen logo. Eller om du er en bar. Eller av andre kreative grunner.
3. **Slett logo**: Trykk på søppelbøtta for å slette bildet.
4. **Display beverage stats**: Ved å trykke på denne så vil du få opp statistikken over siste øl øverst på Home siden.&#x20;
5. **Display percent instead of litres**: Hvis du ikke vil vise antall liter igjen på fatet, men heller vil vise prosent, så setter du på denne. Dette brukes ofte av dem som bruker imperial system istedenfor metric. De har ikke noe forhold til liter.
6. **Display washing routines**: Aktiver dette valget hvis du vil bruke rengjøringsrutiner
7. **Total days between wash**: Dette er antall dager mellom hver gang en har vasket tappelinjene. Det vil si, når en har satt en dato på Taps for sist vask, og det er gått mer enn antall dager satt i dette feltet, så kommer det en gul dråpe på Home siden.
8. **Days between wash unused taps**: Hvis tappelinjen ikke har vært i bruk, så må de rengjøres oftere. Dette er antall dager en tappelinje kan stå ubrukt før den må vaskes. Systemet registrerer hvis det blir tappet fra den aktuelle linjen, og dermed setter vaskerutinen i henhold til dette.

# Units

Dette er er for å kunne velge mellom metrisk og imperial enheltstype. Men du kan i tillegg velge detaljer innenfor hver type. Feks, velge deseliter istedenfor liter, eller gallon istedenfor ounces.

1. Set Imperial: For å sette standardverdier til Imperial enhetstype.
2. Set Metric: For å sette standardverdiene til Metrisk enhetstype.
3. Kegs: For å sette enheten for fat.
4. Pour: For å sette enhetstypen på tapping.
5. Servings: For å sette enhetstypen på glass når en sjekker ut fra et fat.
6. Bottles: Enhetstypen på flasker.
7. Cans: Enhetstypen for bokser.
8. Plaato: Enhetstypen på [Plaato](/settings/plaato). Denne må være den samme som er satt i Plaato appen.

# Plaato

Plaato Keg er et system for å registere hvor mye øl du har igjen på fatene dine. Den bruker vekt til å registrere, slik at når du tapper øl, vil fatet bli lettere, og dermed kan man regne ut hvor mye øl som gjenstår i fatet.&#x20;

Snu PLAATO på hodet og kjøre en RESET ved å ta den lille nøkkelen på undersiden, og holde den mot RESET feltet i 5 sekunder.

Gå til wifi innstillingene på den enheten du nå lager en ny plaato i Bar Helper. Du vil  nå finne et nytt nettverk her som heter PLAATO\_#### hvor # er et nummer. Velg dette wifi nettvereket.

Gå tilbake til Bar Helper og fyll ut SSID og passord og trykk CONNECT

Du skal da få en ny side som sier at plaato er oppdatert (en ganske merkelig side med tekst som sier SUCCESS inne i den.

Du kan nå lukke dette vinduet.

Tilbake i Bar Helper skal nå det wifi nettet du akkurat var på bli borte, og du skal automatisk kople seg opp på ditt opprinnelige nettverk. Evt så må du velge dette nettverket selv.

Du skal nå ha fått en ferdig utfylt plaato side, du kan evt trigge en sync fra plaato med å trykke hardt og raskt ned på den (minimum 1 kilo) den skal da sende informsjon til Bar Helper med informasjon om at den er koplet til.

# Kegtron

Kegtron er et flowmeter for hjemmebryggere. Systemet går ut på å registrere hvor mye øl som strømmer igjennom tappelinjen. Og på den måten registrerer hvor mye øl det er igjen i fatet. Kegtron bygger på Bluetooth teknologi, og krever at en har en Android telefon eller nettbrett til å registrere data. Du kan laste ned Kegtron appen [her](https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/barhelper-app.appspot.com/o/kegtron%2Fbarhelper-kegtron_latest.apk?alt=media\&token=24ae2cdd-eb32-4b69-a028-00e9b073cdad).&#x20;

1. Det enkleste for å starte registrering med Kegtron, er å åpne Bar Helper på enheten og trykke på Download Now knappen. Du vil da få mulighet til å installere denne direkte. Denne er i Beta foreløpig, så du må bekrefte  at installeringen kommer fra en ukjent kilde.

# Raspberry Pi

1. Last ned Image til Raspberry Pi her.&#x20;
2. Brenn dette på vanlig måte, for eksempel ved bruk av balenaEtcher, dette kan lastes ned her.&#x20;
3. Du må ha et minnekort som er minimum 16GB stort.&#x20;
4. Kople til mus, tastatur og en skjerm til Raspberry Pien, og start den opp.&#x20;
5. Når den er ferdig bootet opp, må du kople den til Internett.&#x20;
6. Dette gjør du med å trykke på WiFi ikonet oppe til høyre på skjermen.&#x20;
7. Trykk på Internett ikonet helt oppe til venstre. Det er bilde av en globus.
8. &#x20;Siden som nå starter er både Kegtron App og Bar Helper i to forskjellige faner.&#x20;
9. Gå til fane nummer 2 og logg inn i Bar Helper.&#x20;
10. Gå til Settings -> Bar settings og trykk på GENERATE API KEY&#x20;
11. Kopier nøkkelen og gå til den første ark fanen i nettleseren. Her står en bilde hvor du kan skrive inn en Api nøkkel.&#x20;
12. Lim inn nøkkelen du kopierte på forrige side.&#x20;
13. Trykk på Start knappen.&#x20;
14. Du vil nå se at Kegtron'ene dukker opp i listen under.&#x20;
15. Gå tilbake til Bar Helper ark fanen og velg Settings -> Kegtron&#x20;
16. Nå skal Kegtron'ene dukke opp her.&#x20;
17. Og du er klar til å begynne å bruke Bar Helper med Kegtron.


# Custom Keg Monitor

Custom Keg Monitor er et system for å registrere tapping av øl. Custom Keg Monitor koples opp mot et fat, og på den måten holder man rede på hvor mye som er igjen i fatet. Måten dette fungerer på, er ved å registrere mengden som er tappet, og dermed vil systemet automatisk lagre dette i Bar Helper. \
\
Custom Keg monitor fungerer via et REST Api kall. Det vil si, vi sender informasjon til Bar Helper via HTTPS POST, så systemet som skal registrere tappingen må støtte dette.\
\
Det første vi må gjøre er å generere en API nøkkel. Denne skal brukes når vi kaller Bar Helper.

Når en har kopiert API nøkkelen, ha denne på et trykt sted. Det vil ikke være mulig å se denne nøkkelen flere ganger, hvis du mister den, så må du slette den og generere en ny.

Når vi kjører REST kallet så vil det automatisk bli opprettet en monitor med det navnet du har valgt i kallet. På videoen under så kan du se at den automatisk blir opprettet.\

# Brewfather

Brewfather er et system for brygging av øl. Her finner du alt av verktøy for bryggingen, samt et arkiv over brygg du har laget. Link til Brewfather finner du [her](https://brewfather.app/). Ved å integrere Brewfather med Bar Helper så får du mulighet til å søke opp batches du har brygget, og registrere disse i Bar Helper med et tastetrykk.

1. Trykk på Settings

1. For å kunne bruke Brewfather så må vi fylle ut **User Id**, merk at dette ikke er e-post adressen din
2. Her skriver du inn **Api Nøkkel** fra Brewfather

For å finne bruker id og api nøkkel så må vi logge inn i [Brewfahter](https://web.brewfather.app/), og hente denne informasjonen.

1. Trykk på **Settings**
2. Rull ned til du finner **Generate API-Key**

1. Etter trykket på Generate, så kopierer du ut **User ID**
2. Trykk på **Generate** der hvor det hos meg er en søppelkasse

1. **User Id**: Fyll inn bruker id som du kopierte fra Brewfather
2. **Api Key**: Fyll inn nøkkelen du kopierte fra Bewfather etter å ha generert en nøkkel
3. Trykk på **Verify** for å verifisere at dataene dine er korrekt.

1. Etter å ha trykket på **Verify** vil du få en grønn indikator på at alt er ok. :white\_check\_mark:&#x20;
